Apparently it's a forward thinking pop record. So... a question of semantics really.
I choose to read this as 'a steaming festering turd pushed out by that ever influential abomination NME to be licked up by gullible, bandwagon jumping scenester cunts, who will probably, in three months time when NME moves onto something even more predictably shite, stale and audibly abhorrent, distance themselves from ever liking The Klaxons in the first place and running headlong down to Topshop to dress up in whatever fancy dress their so totally 'new' sound decrees.
Cunts. Sorry Mike.

Agreed mate. It's the "stale" point that's spot on, especially. That Klaxons album is poor - I'm gutted that I spent £4 on it - and ok, so it's "of the moment", but by this time next year, no one will remember it. The songs simply aren't strong enough.

I had to go Googling for lyrics to their songs to remember who they are... I'd agree that they're pretty forgettable, and I say that in my capacity as a Radio 1 listening non-muso type.

Who would you have had win it?
